Charity and impact
From the Altar to the Poor
What begins at the altar should continue in works of mercy.
Ad Orientem is new. Our first responsibility is to build a sustainable platform capable of serving Catholics for the long term. We have not yet launched a formal charitable giving program, and we do not want to imply otherwise.
What Ad Orientem is doing first
Ad Orientem is being built first to serve Catholics around the world through the Traditional Mass directory, reporting, formation, and the preservation and discovery of Catholic tradition. As the platform grows, we intend for that work to extend beyond the website. We are not there yet.
Our intention
As advertising revenue grows and Ad Orientem becomes sustainable, our intention is to dedicate a portion of that revenue to works of mercy. We hope to support trusted Catholic and charitable organizations serving the poor, hungry, homeless, sick, and forgotten.
We have not committed to a fixed percentage. The economics, accounting, and legal structure for a formal giving program have not yet been established, and we would rather say that plainly than promise a number we cannot yet keep.
Transparency when it begins
When the giving program begins, this page will publish what Ad Orientem gave, where it went, and what it supported. Reporting will include the amount given, the date, the recipient, the purpose, and a link to the recipient organization where appropriate. Only actual distributions will ever appear here.
Advertising and works of mercy
Advertising helps fund the operation and growth of Ad Orientem. As that revenue becomes sustainable, we intend for a portion of it to support works of mercy as well: Catholic businesses support Ad Orientem, Ad Orientem serves Catholics, and as it becomes sustainable, part of that success can extend into works of mercy.
Advertising and Founding Patron fees are commercial payments, not donations — they are not tax-deductible gifts, and no specific charity is funded by any specific campaign.
